Biography
Sascha was born in Waiblingen, southern Germany. He started early with musical first education and guitar at the age of six.
He took lessons in classical guitar into his teens and then switched to electric guitar and made forays into flamenco. He spent his youth in various rock formations and cover bands until he found jazz at the age of 17.
At the Vienna Music Institute Sascha studied diploma subject jazz guitar and since then he is a guitar teacher with several years of experience and a freelance musician based in Vienna and the surrounding area.
His stylistic spectrum ranges from rock, pop and classical to jazz and fusion. His guitar students have a wide variety of previous experience (from beginner to highly advanced) and range in age from five to over 60 years.
Sascha completed masterclasses and workshops (among others) with Jennifer Batton, Christophe Godin, Jan Zehrfeld, Steve Walsh, Göran Klinghagen and Gerald Gradwohl.
Currently he is active in various bands and projects (such as jazz formations, duo formations). Among others he plays in the bands Zwidermu (rock and pop quartett) Lunar Sessions Project (jazz and odd meter crossover) as well as the soul cover and event band Soul Embassy.
